It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian Kane, which occurred at his residence on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the age of 77. He was the husband of Gail Kane. Born in Lachine Qc; he was the son of the late Frank and Evelyn (Higgins) Kane
Brian worked for CN as an international rate analyst. He provided over 35 years of service and worked in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Moncton.
He enjoyed working on his stamp collection, reading, watching auto racing and cheering on his beloved Habs. He coached hockey and enjoyed being outdoors. The one thing Brian held dear was his family. He was always waiting with his camera to capture those precious moments.
Besides his loving wife Gail of 51 years, he was a devoted father to his children: Janet Melanson (Brent Ryan), Kevin Kane (Rachelle Beers) and Chris Kane (Bonnie); his cherished grandchildren: Ryan, Alexa, Nick, Katie, Brooklyn and Brianna. He was also an adored great grandfather to Maddison, Emma and Annabelle. He will also be missed by his dog Bentley as well as lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends.
He is predeceased by his siblings: Ron, Herb and Ruth Kane.
Visitations will take place on Tuesday, January 30 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery (1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton).
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 30 at 2:00pm in the Fair Haven Funeral Home chapel.
In memory of Brian, a donation to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
