Brendan McMullen
1941-2018
Brendan McMullen of Fredericton, NB and formerly of Nackawic, NB,
passed away at his home on April 26, 2018. Brendan was born in
Belfast, Ireland on December 8, 1941, a son of the late Ernest and
Kathleen (Malone) McMullen. Before his retirement, he was employed at
St. Anne Pulp Mill, Nackawic, NB and served on the Union Executive.
Brendan loved music and singing and will be remembered for his humour
and quick wit.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda McMullen Brown (Merlin),
Moncton, NB and Cathy McMullen, Fredericton, NB; three sons, Jim
McMullen, Davidson Lake, NB, Paul McMullen (Judy White), Fredericton,
NB and Sean McMullen, Hamilton, ON; six grandchildren, Kathleen,
Jesse, Sarah and Brendan McMullen and Conor and Liam Brown; three
great grandchildren, Kaya, Joy and Emmett; a brother, Ernest McMullen,
Ireland; a sister, Susan Miller, Ireland; a sister-in-law, Theresa
Brannigon (Tommy), Ireland; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rosaleen
(McDermott) McMullen and his siblings, Maureen, Kathleen and
Gerard.
A time of visitation with the family will be held at Flewelling
Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday, May 1, 2018
from 1 to 3 pm.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Brendan, the family
has suggested the NB Extra Mural or the Canadian Cancer Society.
Cathy’s siblings wish to thank her for the special care she gave
to dad during his illness.
