Obituary of Blanche Maddeaux
Maddeaux, Blanche – It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Blanche Maddeaux at the Humber River Hospital in Toronto on February 22, 2018 in her 91st year. Blanche was the daughter of Lemuel and Edna Tallman (deceased) and the brother of Richard (Myra) of Manitoulin Island. She was the mother to Wil (Shirley), Anna Cox (Merv), Patrick (Sharon), Joseph, Rex (deceased), and Charrie (deceased). Blanche was was grandmother to 12 and great grandmother to 20. She was a faith member of Strathmore Church of Christ and encourager at AA and Al-Anon. Blanche was a free spirit, loving horses, race cars, motorcycles and reading. She was a friend to all, especially to those less fortunate, from all walks of life. Above all she loved God and her family. Age and health problems never kept her down. She was very active and independent to the end.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 17, at 11:00am, at Strathmore Boulevard Church of Christ, 346 Strathmore Blvd, Toronto, ON. A memorial service in the Niagara Region will follow at a later date. Donations may be made to Native Child & Family Services of Toronto.
