Obituary of Blair Fletcher
FLETCHER, (John) Blair, passed away on Monday December 17th at the age of 71 with family by his side. After more than 85 appointments at the LHSC, Blair no longer has to battle cancer.
Blair is survived by Sharon, his cherished best friend and wife of 50 years. He is the loving father of Dale Fletcher (Yong) and Barry Fletcher (Dawn). Proud Grandfather of Ryley and Brayden Fletcher. Dear brother of Sharon Lynn (Larry), Doug Fletcher (Barb), Jim Fletcher (Teri) and Denise McCann (Dave). Brother-in-Law to Marion McCarter (Laverne predeceased), Grant Thomson (Carol predeceased) and Mary Lou Thomson (Jack). Predeceased by his parents Ron and Isabelle Fletcher.
He will be remembered for his love of travelling. He loved spending time with family, friends and his Fun N Sun family from Texas.
A special thank you to Dr. Potvin and her team as well as the nurses from the Chemo Unit for their love and support through this journey. Thank you to St. Joseph’s Hospice for all of their help and accommodations.
Family and friends are all welcome to a casual gathering celebrating Blair’s life at Moose Lodge, 35 Charterhouse Crescent, in London from 1-4pm on December 30th. Interment is planned to take place at Kirkton Union Cemetery at a later date.
In remembrance of Blair, he has asked that you perform an act of kindness for someone around you.
