Blaine Orland Sturgeon, of White Rapids, passed away accidentally on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the age of 55.
Born in Newcastle, he was the son of Janet (MacDonald) and the late Warren Sturgeon. He was an owner/operator with Elite Fleet. Blaine was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He held a special place in his heart for his two grandchildren. In his spare time, Blaine enjoyed riding his Harley, collecting old cars and spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Rhonda (Duffy) Sturgeon; his son Adam Sturgeon (Kerri-Ann) of Blackville; two sisters Lois (Alvin Stewart), and Debbie (Rodney Ross) both of Blackville; brother Ronnie Sturgeon (Peggy) of Gray Rapids; grandchildren Kate and Hudson; his mother Janet Sturgeon; parents-in-law Shirley and Catherine Duffy; four sisters-in-law Marlene (Kirby Nash) of White Rapids, Gail (Granvel Sullivan) of Upper Derby, and Carla (Hayward Sullivan) of Warwick Settlement, and Joanne of White Rapids; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his father Warren, Blaine was predeceased by his daughter Falon; sister Patricia Gillespie; brother Frank Sturgeon; nephew Glenn Sturgeon and an infant brother and an infant nephew.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Sunday, July 8, 2018, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 9, 2018, at 11 am, from St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, with Father Vincent Donovan officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi SPCA or to the IWK.
