Obituary of Bill Holmes
Holmes, William George – A resident of Blenheim, Bill Holmes passed away at Windsor Regional Hospital, on Tuesday March 20, 2018 at the age of 82. Born in Blenheim, Ontario on May 5, 1935, Bill was the son of the late James and Olive (nee Ramsdale) Holmes. Beloved husband of 54 years to Marjorie Patricia « Midge » (nee Latford). Loving father of Kevin Holmes (Holly) of Amherstburg and Terry Holmes (Amy) of Windsor. Proud grandfather of Joel (Rachel) and Jesse (Christina); Karli (Mike), Matthew, Brittany and Alyssa. Great-grandfather to Elise, Adele and Maddie.
Dear brother of the late Robert of Chatham, Fred (Wendy) of Blenheim, Gord of Blenheim and Tom of Blenheim.
Will be missed by his nieces, nephews and the Latford family.
Bill worked for Canadian Tire in Chatham for 30 years. He was an active member of the Blenheim Seniors Centre, the Blenheim Baptist Church Choirs.
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Saturday March 24, 2018 from 1:00pm until the Funeral Service at 3:00pm with Rev. Bill Terris officiating. Cremation to follow.
