Obituary for
Bill Colpitts
Bill fell asleep in death (John 11:11) on August 10th, 2018 at the age of 75.
Bill was born in Lethbridge, Alberta to his parents, Ernie and Pearl Colpitts on June 23,1943. Bill loved his heavenly father Jehovah and had a lifetime of loving faithful service to him. He was baptised in New York City in 1958 and served as an elder for many years in Lethbridge and again after moving to Edmonton in 1998.
Bill met Marianne Melin (Colpitts), a spiritual woman with the same love for Jehovah that he had, and married her on May 22, 1965.
They raised 4 children together: John (Wife, Gina and their children, Javyn, Quin, Brandon, Kasi, and Vincent), Lisa (Colpitts) Arnold (Husband, Jason and their daughter Mia), Trevor, & Jeff (Wife, Lerinna, their children, Shae-anne & Xander).
Bill truly loved being with family, serving his brothers and sisters, photography & hunting.
He also will be remembered by his brother, Dale Colpitts (Wife, Ruth and their children, Sean (Wife, Chris), Allan (Wife, Rose), & Charlene (Husband, Shane Bunse and their daughter, Elizabeth). As well as many spiritual children.
Bill maintained his integrity, friendship and devotion to his loving creator, Jehovah throughout his life and is now safe in Jehovah’s vast memory.
He is now resting waiting for the day when Jesus will call out his name. (John 5:28,29). Funeral Service Thursday, August 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6212 – 82 Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Watchtower and Bible Tract Society of Canada, 13893 ON-7, Georgetown, ON L7G 4S4 or www.jw.org.
