Obituary of Betty Judd
Judd, Betty (nee Stewart)
Born June 27, 1922 in Simcoe, Ontario, the daughter of Robert & Hazel Stewart.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Jesse Judd (1995) and her cherished friend, Wes Arnold (2010).
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Misener (Paul Crack) & her grandson’s Scott Misener & Eric Misener and chosen grandson, Tim Wright.
She will always be remembered by her « second daughter » Denise Harwood.
Betty began her long teaching career in Kent County at Kendall Street Public School then moved onto Victor Lauriston and Victoria Park where she will always be remembered for beginning the breakfast program at Victoria Park.
Betty loved music and was well-known for playing the organ, She was a long-term member of Chatham Music Society and the Kiwanis Club. Over the years, she was a member of Park Street United Church, The Austin Wright Chapter, IODE & the Active Lifestyle Center.
The Family would like to extend a special thank you to Margie Yott for supporting Betty throughout the years & to the staff at the Chatham Retirement Resort for all of their care & compassion.
Family to receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Cremation has taken place with a Private Graveside Ceremony at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Victor Lauriston Public School, Chatham with the « School Breakfast Program » in the memo line.
