Obituary of « Betty » Dawe
Doris Elizabeth (Betty) Dawe, of Botwood, Newfoundland, was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. She was 74.
Beloved wife of Roy Dawe (predeceased). Devoted mother to Barry (Jennifer) Dawe. Proud Gramma to Laura Dawe. Predeceased by parents Nelson and Renetta Roberts of Botwood, Newfoundland.
Many will remember Betty for her kindness and talent ministering through music. From the time she was a teenager until her battle with illness, she exalted the Lord through her singing, piano and guitar playing in many churches, rest homes, hospitals, ecumenical and open air services… and at home.
Also leaving to mourn six sisters: Yvonne Colbourne, Fronie (Ivan) Belbin, Patricia (Martyn) Barrett, Sandra (David) Peyton, Sharon (Clarence) Quinlan, Helen (Joclyn) Lavoie; and four brothers: Bryce (Marilyn) Roberts, Kevin (Sheila) Roberts, Ronald (Caroline) Roberts, James (Louise) Roberts.
In-laws: Marina (Irvin) Anderson, Millicent Dawe, Yvonne Dawe, Angela (John) Burden and Kevin (Mona) Dawe.
She will be missed by a large circle of other relatives, friends and fellow churchgoers.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Homes, Botwood, Newfoundland. A memorial service will be held at Agape Christian Fellowship on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. by the Pastor David Hoyles. Flowers, or donations to the Agape Christian Fellowship, can be made in Betty’s memory.
Isaiah 40:31 – But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Interment will take place at the Agape Christian Fellowship cemetery, Botwood, immediately following the memorial service.
