It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Beryl Davis.
Beryl will be forever remembered by her loving husband, Kenneth of 65 years, her sisters Joan and Dorothy, her brother Derek and their families. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Carmen, her grandchildren; Jordon (Linsi), Laura (Scott), Andy (Trina), and Mitchell (Ally), numerous nephews and nieces, great-grandchildren and many dear friends. Beryl is predeceased by her parents, John and Dorothy Baines, her sons Tom and Doug and nephew Donald Hunt.
Beryl was born in Trail, BC. She attended school in Trail and spent a year in Vancouver. On March 7, 1953, at the young age of 19, she married the love of her life. Together they raised their two boys in Rossland, where they enjoyed winter sports and spent many fun summers at their cottage on Christina Lake.
Beryl was very supportive in all the boys’ (including Ken’s) activities and also in the community. She was a chartered member of the Hospital Auxiliary, 60 year member of the Deborah Rebekah Lodge where she held several positions and taught Sunday School at St. Andrew’s Church. Beryl was athletic and enjoyed curling, snow skiing, swimming and water skiing. She was an accomplished seamstress and crafter.
A Memorial Service in memory of Beryl will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm at St. Andrew’s United Church in Rossland with Gwen Ziprick, Celebrant. A reception tea will follow at the Rossland Legion Hall. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
