Bertha Richard
1924-2018
Bertha Richard, at the age 94, from St-Antoine, formerly of
Acadieville, and most recently was residing at the St-Jean Baptiste
Manor in Bouctouche passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on
Satuday, June 18, 2018
She was the eldest daughter of the late Edmond and the late Josephine
Richard (née Chevarie) of Acadieville. She was happily married
to the late Médard Richard of Acadieville for 53 years.
Bertha will be sadly missed by her children, Rose-Eva Richard of
Cocagne, Helena Maillet (André) of Cocagne, Florent Richard
(Denise) of Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, Rhéal Richard (late Rita) of
Saint-Antoine, Fernande Allain ( Louis) of Webster Mass EU, Jimmy
Richard (Diane) of Baie-de-Bouctouche and Normand Richard (Rita) of
Saint-Antoine.
Bertha will also be missed by her sisters Gemma Cormier (late Eymard)
of Bouctouche, Germaine Daigle (late Joseph) of Acadieville, Anna
Cormier (Leandre) of Gardner Mass USA, Florine Richard (late Gaston)
of Gardner Mass USA, and Marie LeBlanc (Yvon) from Templeton Mass USA.
She is now reunited with her predeceased siblings, the late Eva
Richard of Acadieville, the late Nazaire Richard (late Rose-Eva) of
Gardner Mass USA, the late Irenée Richard (late Irene/late
Yvonne) of Richiboucto, the late Therese Richard (late Livain) of
Collette, the late Adelard Richard (Geneva) of Lunenburg Mass USA,
the late Eliza Babineau (Albert) of Richiboucto-Village
She was loved by her 19 grandchildren (Pauline, Ronald, Denis,
Rachelle, Michael, Ricky Tina, Kevin, Timmy, Carol, Tom, Lisa, Steven,
Tammy, Nadine, Michel, Jamie, Jordan) her 21 great-grandchildren and a
great-great-granddaughter.
Bertha is now joyfully reunited with her loving husband Médard
as well as her grandson Rhéal Jr. and her great-granddaughter
Joelle
Visitation will take place at the Saint-Antoine L’Ermite Roman
Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Tuesday, June 19 from
2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm, on Wednesday, June 20 from 9am until
the departure to the church. The funeral mass will be celebrated at
Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Church on Wednesday, June 20, at 11am.
In memory of Bertha, a donation can be made to the Georges-L.-Dumont
University Hospital Centre or the Manoir St-Jean Baptist in
Bouctouche
