Bernice Theresa Koebel
2 October , 1923 – 29 April , 2018
Passed away peacefully at Innisfree House on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at the age of 94 years.
A lifelong devout Catholic and active parishioner at St. Francis Church, Bernice was a fun and generous grandma, loved to laugh, loved people, and loved life. Beloved wife of the late Cyril Koebel. Dear mother of Wayne and his wife Anne and Gary and his wife Rose. Loved grandmother of Chris (Melissa), Paul (Tisha), Christiana, and Carolina, and great grandmother of Meghan, Gregory, and Caitlin. Dear sister of Frieda Cole and Eileen Cox. Predeceased by her parents Louis and Caroline (Meyer) Dietrich, brothers Bert, Len, and Joseph, and sisters Rose Straus, Loretta Taylor, Clara Hartman, Esther Ganci, Edna Wagner, and Sister Louisita Dietrich. Bernice’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener, on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Parkview Cemetery.
