Bernard Raymond Parker – 90, of
Berwick, formerly of Kingsport, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018
in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born on December 19, 1927 in Medford, he
was the youngest son of the late Lorne and Alice (Wood) Parker. Bernie
attended school in Medford and Canning and completed his education at
the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. Bern was a farmer all of his
life. He was a member and former Elder of Emmanuel United Church,
Kingsport. He enjoyed the Kingsport Jammers jam sessions and enjoyed
taking drives over the farmland in Medford and Kingsport. He is
survived by his brother, Lawrence Parker and his wife, Virginia,
Medford; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by a sister, Marion Gray; a sister, Elizabeth, in infancy;
a brother, Kenneth Parker; a sister-in-law, Florence Parker; three
nephews, David, Jim and Wayne Parker; a great niece, Candice Parker.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral
service, by request. A committal service will take place at a later
date. Donations in memory may be made to Emmanuel United Church,
Kingsport. The family would like to thank the staff of Grand View
Manor for their excellent care over the past four and a half years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
