Barry Wayne Woynar
Woynar, Barry Wayne – age 64 of Cole Harbour. It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Barry on Thursday September 13, 2018 in the VG Site, QE II. Barry was born in Hamilton, Ontario on December 7, 1953 to Leah (Donaldson) and the late Donald Woynar. Barry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sharon (White); daughters, Jocelyn, Calgary, Leslie, Shediac and Julia, at home. He is also survived by his sisters, Ann (Joel) Slaunwhite, Patsy (Chris) Keddy, Mary (Michael) Crowley and many nieces and nephews. Barry retired from the Halifax International Airport where he was the Manager of Emergency Response and Planning. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, kayaking, bowling, baseball (especially the Blue Jays) and working on projects around the house. He took great pleasure in spending time with his family and exploring with his dog, Chloe. Visitation will be held from 7-9pm Sunday, September 16 with a memorial service 11am Monday, September 17 both in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, with a reception to follow. Family flowers only. Donations in Barry’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
