Barry Kevin MacKay
1955-2018
MacKAY, Barry Kevin –
Age 62 years of St. Georges Channel, Richmond Co., died at home on
Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Barry was born on March 4, 1955; he was
a son of the late Alex and Verda (MacLean) MacKay. He was born in
Sudbury, Ontario and Cape Breton was his home. Barry worked as a
carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 83, Sydney;
he also worked in the forestry sector.
He is survived by his uncle, Allan « Bud »
MacLean, Sydney; aunt, Jean Swiston, Huntsville, Ont.; and many
cousins. Barry was predeceased by his parents and many aunts and
uncles.
There will be no visitation at Barry’s
request. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday,
February 28, 2018 at 11 a.m., in MacKay Cemetery, St. Georges Channel
with Rev. Donna Lovelace officiating. Memorial
donations may be made to MacKay Cemetery Fund.
