Barbara Nola Paypom, passed away on November 14, 2018 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home.
She was born on March 9, 1940 in Washagamis Bay, Ontario and was 78 years old.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents Austin Kakeeway and Winnifred Redsky (Nee Kahkeeway), spouse Russell Paypom, children Casey Paypom Sr., Sylvia Kahkeeway and Rose Paypom, brothers Alex Kahkeeway, Thomas Hearn and Douglas Kahkeeway, nieces Yvonne Kakeeway and Adele Paypom, sister in law Verna Paypom, brothers in law Carl Paypom Sr., Donelly Paypom, grandson Antonio.
She is survived by aunt Viola Redsky, sister Valene Miault, brother Michael Kahkeeway, son Allen Paypom, daughters Ruth Paypom (Roger) and Rosalind Paypom, nieces Linda Paypom, Susan Paypom, Adeline Paypom, Linda Miault, Michelle Miault and Shannon Miault, nephews Carl Paypom, Luke Paypom and Nathan Miault, grandchildren Sharon, Casey Jr., Christopher, Peter, Barbie, Paradise, River, Aaron, Russell, Tyrone, Myrna, Mathew, Brent, Jordan, Hayden, Natalya, Warren, Kiersten, Tracey, Dawn-lee, Adrian and Travis, great grandchildren Lyndon, Unique, Kyra, Brayleigh, Theory, Mirakle, Levi, Sammi, Unytez, Mai-Lynn, Urijah, Artemas and Jasper, as well as too many friends and foster children to mention.
Barbara enjoyed playing bingo, “chewing snuff”, she loved spending time with family and friends, reminiscing about the good ol’ days.
She will be remembered for her smile and laughter, she always cared for her family and whomever needed help. Always talking about her spouse and wanting to be with him, she enjoyed the lake and was always involved with her grandchildren playing games. She was also a big hearted, kind, caring and loving person.
Wake Service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at O’Bashkaandagaang First Nation Community Hall.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at O’Bashkaandagaang First Nation Community Hall with Elder Ron Mandamin officiating with interment to follow.
