Obituary for Barbara Helen Gravel (Heatherington)

Barbara Helen Gravel (nee Heatherington)
December 15th, 1947 – January 21st, 2018
With great sorrow her family announce her unexpected passing on Sunday January 21st, 2018 at the Timmins & District Hospital at the age of 70. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Fernand Gravel, her cherished children Patricia (Dino) Mauti and Marc Gravel, her adored granddaughter Taylor Mauti, her brother Tom Heatherington (Lorraine Génier) and her
sister Margaret (Robert) Charpentier. She was the sister-in-law of the late Céline Trépanier, Octave (Jaqueline) Gravel, late Maurice (Irène) Gravel, late Laurent (Carmen) Gravel, Suzanne (Fernand) De Repentigny, late Henri Gravel, late Jean-Louis (Gisele) Gravel, late Robert Gravel (Denise Black), Yvon (Giselle) Gravel and Gérard “Ti-Pit” (Bonnie) Gravel. Barbara also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also predeceased by her parents Robert and Margaret Heatherington.
Year after year Barbara enjoyed gardening and was very proud to embellish her garden. She will also be remembered for her sewing, cooking skill and her passion for travelling and fishing.
She found comfort to be surrounded by her loved ones, special friend and all will recall her kindness and genuine attitude.
Visitations will be held at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 149 Third Street West, Cochrane on Sunday January 28th, 2018 from 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday January 29th, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Transfiguration Catholic Church with Father Rémi Lessard officiating and reception to follow in the parish hall.
