Obituary of Barbara Green
Green, Barbara Mabel (nee Mills) July 7, 1935 – November 9, 2018. With heavy hearts but solace from The Lord, the family announces that, following a short battle with cancer, Barbara passed away surrounded by her loving family at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Vernon, of 53 years. Dear Mom of Susan (Dennis), Raymond and Wayne (Heather). Cherished Grandma of Christine (Stuart), Wayne (Cindy), Colin, Alex, Davis and Samantha. Treasured Great-Grandma of Austin, Makayla, Jessica, Alyssa and April. Revered friend to many, especially Carol (Walter) Smith and Mary Carlisle. Barbara was our devoted family matriarch, a lover of animals, Scrabble & Crossword master, off-key singer of Doris Day tunes, talented interior decorator, past resident of Wilmot Creek in Newcastle and current resident of The Gallery in Georgetown. She was a generous giver of thoughtful gifts, insightful wisdom and unconditional love. Thank you to the caring staff at CVH. Remembrances can be made to the North Halton Kitten Rescue. Visitation to be held on Sunday, November 11th from 2-5pm at JS Jones & Son Funeral Home at 11582 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown (905) 877-3631. Memorial Service on Monday, November 12th at 11am followed by reception in the Trafalgar Room.
