Obituary Overview
Forever in Our Hearts
Our beloved mum, grandma and great-grandma passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Pasqua Hospital with family by her side.
Audrey will be missed by many whose lives she touched, especially her children Ron and Shelley (Joe); grandchildren Jessie, Chris (Letticia) and Hillary; great-grandchildren Cassidy, Wesley, Jude, Jordan, Makyla and Max. She is also survived by her two brothers in England, Leslie and Raymond; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Audrey was born in Lewes, England and was the eldest of ten children.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, who held a special place in her heart, Ernest and Hetty Shelley; parents William and Doris French; first husband Bill Luedtke; Martin Kelln, her beloved husband of 52 years; two sisters; and five brothers.
She loved to dance ballet and tap when she was young, was an avid reader, knitter and loved to sew. She worked countless hours helping with Martin’s career in politics and as a volunteer for the Social Credit Party Ladies Auxiliary and Palliser Wheat Growers. Audrey and Martin loved people and they enjoyed entertaining – everyone always felt welcome in their home. In 1967 they started a mutual fund dealership, Audrey ran every aspect of the office and home while Martin was busy on the road. Audrey loved to shop and she loved her diamonds. Her hands always had many sparkles, and she could always fit another ring on.
Broadway Terrace has been Audrey’s home since November of 2008, where she made many new friends and reconnected with old ones. In September of 2016 she transitioned into Harvest Haven, where she received compassionate and loving care for which we are so thankful. A special thank you to Janet Miller, who loved to see Audrey’s face light up when she rolled a Yahtzee.
At mum’s request no public service will be held. A Private Family Service will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Audrey may be made to Regina Palliative Care Inc., Suite 200 – 2150 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 2H7.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
