On Friday, March 2, 2018 we said goodbye to our best friend and mother; known to family and friends by Avada. Mom was born on Back Pit Road in Port Morien and was a daughter of the late Tom and Viva (MacPhail) Robinson. Mom moved to Sandfield, and later to Hillsdale Road after marrying our father in 1949 and worked hard on the family farm. Surviving are her three children, Alfred, Doug and Heather; only granddaughter Amanda; two great grandsons, Darrien and Malcolm; three sisters, Elaine Hardy, Mary Timmons Dawn Pierre. Besides her parents, Avada was predeceased by her husband, Redmond in 2002; brother, Vinyl Robinson; sisters, Colleen MacDonald and a sister in infancy. A funeral will take place 11 Monday in the S.W. Chant Funeral Home with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
