Aubrey Payne
Aubrey Garnet Payne was born on January 7, 1916 at Silver Park, Saskatchewan to Gilbert and Katherine Payne. In 1928, Aubrey moved with his family north of Star City, Saskatchewan to the Norwood School District. He served in the Second World War for four years in England, Holland, France, Germany and Belgium on his return to Canada.
He started farming and married Jean Sly, to this union two children were born: Dorothy (Payne) Willman and Raymond Payne. There are two grandchildren: Sherri (Willman) Vachon and Robby Willman; four great grandchildren: Janelle Vachon, Albert Vachon, Natalie Vachon and Marc Vachon.
