Armando Verro
VERRO, Armando, Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 29th, 2018, at the age of 94. Reunited with his loving wife Annunziata and son Ezio. Also predeceased by his parents Angelo & Grazia and his brothers Mario (Ida) and Ercole (Lidia). Cherished father in law to Bruna. Proud Nonno to Tania (Rui) and Marco (Jackie). Proud Bisnonno to Desmond, Matthew and Lucas. He will also be missed by his sister in law Santina Pasqualitto and many nieces and nephews in Canada and in Italy. Armando was born in Veroli, Italy in 1923, and immigrated to Canada in 1969. He was a proud City of Windsor employee for many years. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time outdoors, much of it in his gardens and making wine. His pride and joy was his family and dedicated his life to doing anything for them. His family will miss his company dearly, sharing pasta, chocolate and ice cream. Visitation will be held at Janisse Funeral Home (1139 Ouellette Ave, 519-253-5225) on Sunday, December 2nd, 2018 from 2-5 & 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 4:30pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 3rd, 2018 at the funeral home from 8:30am, with Funeral Mass at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave) at 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations may be made in Armando’s name to Street Help. Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.janissefuneralhome.ca
