Lovingly Remembered
Archie James Burndred, beloved husband of Shirley Burndred of High River passed away at South Health Campus on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the age of 71 years.
Archie will be lovingly remembered by his 3 children Tammi Chudak of Calgary; Trevor (Jodi) Burndred of High River, and Travis Burndred of Lethbridge. He will be dearly missed by his 6 grandchildren Bryce, Cara, Brinley, Kayli, Karmyn, & Karysa. He will also be remembered by his sister Helen Perry (Tom Hollywood), niece Robyn, and nephew Michael. Archie was predeceased by his parents James and Helen Burndred, his parents-in-law May and Steve Omilusik, his brother-in-law Robert Coulson, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Archie was a long distance trucker for 50 years, and also liked to collect trucks. Archie volunteered for many organizations in High River, which included Minor Hockey, the Odd Fellows, the Fire Department, as well as the Figure Skating Club. One of his many achievements was receiving a safety award for driving with ECL Trucking Company.
A Memorial Service will be held at the High River Full Gospel Church (1802 9 Ave SE, High River, AB T1V 2A6) on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
