Obituary of Antonio Sardella
With saddened hearts the family of Antonio Sardella announce his passing on Monday September 24, 2018 at the age of 96. Antonio is survived by his dear wife of 71 years Norina “Rina” Trivisonno, his children Mario (Sylvia), Lucie Pinelli (Joe) and Aldo. Antonio was a wonderful grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren that he absolutely adored. He will be deeply missed by several nieces, nephews and relatives in Italy. Predeceased by his sons Giovanni and John. Antonio was born on October 19, 1921. He came to Canada and started working at INCO on December 1, 1951 until his retirement on March 31, 1985. He was a brick layer by trade and built many homes for his family and friends. Antonio was a past member of Club Castropignano and was a board of directors for many years. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Antonio’s family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. Vigil will be held at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter Walton as celebrant. Rite of Committal with Entombment will follow at Pleasantview Mausoleum, Thorold. If so desired, donations may be made to St. John Bosco Church
