Obituary of Annina D’Ippolito
D’IPPOLITO (Evangelista), Annina – Peacefully surrounded by her family Annina passed away at Marshall Gowland Manor on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Domenico (1970). Dear mother of Emilia Ferrera (Vito), Elsa Rocca (Angelo) and Donato D’Ippolito (Ann-Marie). Loving Nonna of Anna Maria Wagg (Mike), Angela Ianni (Erik), Domenic Ferrera (Stephanie), Aldo Rocca (Sabrina), Lisa Soucek (Miro), Danielle D’Ippolito and Michael D’Ippolito (Devon). Great-nonna of Brandon and Emily Wagg, Ethan Ianni, Anthony and Matteo Ferrera, Diego, Giada and Alessio Rocca, Jameson and Blakely Austin. Sister of Maria Bucci (late Enrico), Salvatore Evangelista (Eileen) and the late Adriano. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Camillo & Antonia Evangelista. Annina was born in Sessano, Italy and she & Domenico came to Sarnia in 1957. Annina worked at International Bakery for many years. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and the St. Peter’s Pensioners Club. Annina’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Marshall Gowland Manor for the exceptional care given to her during her stay there. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Tuesday, January 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Society, 420 N. East St., Sarnia, N7T 6Y5.
