Annie Phyllis Lindsay
1921-2018
It is with broken hearts, the family of Annie Phyllis (Moore)
Lindsay announces her passing on December 16, 2018 at Hospice House
Fredericton. Annie was born on August 9, 1921 in Rusagonis, NB, to the
late Edgar and Mamie (Alexander) Moore.
She will be missed and warmly remembered by her children
Phyllis Comeau, Dale (Linda), Barb (Dwight Ball) and Cathy (Earl
Howland); daughter-in-law Joanne; her great grandchildren Holly,
Angie, Sherry, Shannon, Carolyn, Andrew, David, Stephen, Anthony,
Mark, Chloe, Rebecca; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great
grandchildren; sister-in-law Helen Moore, as well as several nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Annie was predeceased by her
husband Hugh Lindsay; the father of her children Thomas Cogswell; son
Gerald Cogswell; son-in-law Raymond Comeau; brothers Irvine and Paul
Moore, as well as a sister-in-law Geraldine Moore.
Annie was a « Gornisher » through and through
and was proud of it. Rusagonis was the place she called home for her
97 years and her dedication to her church and community will be long
remembered. She was a wonderful cook, leaving a lot for her family to
live up to. She not only held the title of Mother, she was also Gram,
Grammy Lindsay, Grammy Mom and Grammy Annie. So many will miss
her.
Visitation will be held at the Rusagonis Baptist Church on
Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 12 – 2 pm. A funeral
service will immediately follow at 2 pm with Rev. Brent MacDonald
officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
Many thanks to Hospice House where Mom not only had the best
room, she had the best care. Dr. B. Sainz and the entire staff of this
facility will be forever remembered for the kindness and compassion
shown to Mom and all of us. Anyone wishing to make a donation in
