In Loving Memory
HOUTBY-RASO, Annette (nee Schipper) – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Annette announces her sudden but peaceful passing on September 13, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Loving and devoted wife to Gennaro (Jim) Raso. Cherished mother to Katharine Houtby, Dean Houtby and her dog Jack. Forever remembered by her siblings Arie (Melanie) Schipper, Ron (Kelli) Schipper, and Idella (Ken) George. Annette is predeceased by her parents Harry and Maria Schipper. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. There are not enough words to describe the amazing women Annette was to so many people. She will be lovingly remembered, missed and forever in our hearts. The family will receive relatives and friends at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2000 Merrittville Hwy, Thorold) on Monday September 17 from 2:00–4:00p.m. and 7:00-9:00p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Annette’s life will be held in the Pleasantview Chapel on Tuesday September 18 at 2:30p.m. Burial to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Annette’s memory may be made to the Arthritis Society. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Whitty and all the caring and professional staff at the St. Catharine’s General Hospital.
