In loving memory of Anne Gloria Marie Makitalo (née Larivière) who, at home, passed away in her sleep on February 7th, 2018, at the age of 57. Beloved wife of Jarmo Makitalo of Sudbury. A true Family Matriarch and loving mother of Chad (Samantha), Candace (Jonathan) and Alexander (Chelsey). Cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Marcus, Milo and Anna. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Raymonde (née Veaudry) Larivière and in-laws Matti and Sirkka Makitalo. Precious sister of Michelle (predeceased), Denis, Norman, Barbara, Gérard (Aline), Bernadette (Ray), Patricia (Ron), Raymond (Tristan Michelle (Roxanne). Dear sister-in-law to Juha (Yvette), Eero (Francine), Markku (Shirley) as well as loads of nieces, nephews and cousins. Anne was happiest when she was surrounded by the bustle of her family and friends. She treated everyone with compassion and acceptance. For anyone who knew Anne, you knew her huge heart, generous spirit, easy laugh and infectious optimism. She listened as we cried, laughed as we joked and loved us without restraint. She was everyone’s best friend and the best wife any man could hope for. Her strength was inspiring. She will be greatly missed. God is looking after her now.
A celebration of her inspiring life will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2018, in the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Boulevard, Sudbury at 11am in the chapel.
