Obituary for
Anna Ridolfo
Peacefully in her sleep, at Villa Colombo in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Giovanni (2005) her sister Caterina (2014), sister-in-law Concetta (2018), and her sister-in-law Lina (2013). Survived by her children Adrian (Dianne Kispal), Vince (Gioiella (Alice) Melchoir), Maria (Anthony Cosentino), and Carla (Joe Gerace). Proud nonna of Christina (Tony Gentile), Richard (Anna Moura), Robert, Andrea (Guido Scaini), Michael (Karen Sousa), Stefanie, AnnaMaria (Marco Lucia), Luca, and Simona. Bisnonna to David, Daniella, Michael, Matthew and Giuseppe. Anna will be greatly missed by her many friends and relatives in Friuli, France, and Western Canada. Anna was born in Avasinis, Udine in 1926. She immigrated to Canada with her two sons to reunite with her husband in 1955. Her two daughters were born in Canada, where she lived in the St. Clair Ave. and Caledonia Rd. area for more than 50 years. She was a proud member of the Societa Feminile Friulana and loved to play bingo. She enjoyed spending her winters in Cuba with her friends. Our family wishes to express our sincere gratitude for the loving care and support we received from the staff of Villa Colombo, in particular the second floor, Fidani wing. Visitations will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Friday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 Highway 27, north of Steeles Ave.).
