She is the beloved mother of Kathleen (Norm Daschle) and granddaughter Annalise Peterson-Perry; Elizabeth Tribe (David) and grandchildren Ellen, Emily and Jackson; and Byron (Sandra Nakata); and beloved birth mother of Bev Seaborn. She continues to be cherished by her sisters Valgerdur Erickson, Bonnie Schau and Lilja Koldyk; sisters-in-law Doreen Peterson and Bette Robertson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families whom she loved dearly.
Anna was born on a farm near Baldur, Manitoba on September 22, 1937 and attended Hola and Baldur High Schools.
Growing up on the farm was wonderful as she helped her dad and brothers in the barn and out in the field.
Later she worked for Stephens Paints in Winnipeg where she met the love of her life, Frank.
As a stay-at-home mom for many years, she cared for her kids diligently, relished outdoor work and spent many hours indoors lovingly making clothes for herself and children.
Later she returned to the workforce working for Eaton’s, Simpsons and Health Canada. She continued her passion for sewing, making numerous quilts for her family, church banners and baptismal stoles.
In retirement, she and Frank would golf every day in the summertime and regularly visit family, who lived in many other places, often stopping at familiar places for an ice cream cone.
A CELEBRATION OF ANNA’S LIFE will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 190 Massey Road, Regina SK on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lutheran World Relief, 600 – 177 Lombard Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 0W5 or Our Savior’s Lutheran Memorial Fund.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
