Erickson – Ann Erickson of Bassano passed away peacefully on June 9, 2018 at the age of 84 after a long struggle with dementia. Ann was an amazing and accomplished woman arriving in Canada from Sweden in 1957 with her loving husband Richard and daughter Nancy. Ann and Richard went on to have two more daughters Anita and Ivy. Together with her talented husband the couple created a beautiful life in Calgary where they remained before moving to Bassano in 1990. Ann was a hard-working woman, tirelessly giving to her family whom she always put before herself. A loving soul, Ann always had a smile, a kind word and a big heartfelt hug for all her friends and neighbours. Her kind smiles, friendly ways and warm hugs will be missed by all. Ann adored her grandchildren; Steve, Amber Ann, John Eric and Audrey Ann as well as her great grandchildren; Caleb Fox, Elijah James and Laura and Annika. Ann had a tremendous love for animals; we know that she will be happily reunited with her two favourite dogs Tokey-boy and Biscuit in addition to the many other dogs and cats that she lovingly cared for throughout her life. A thoughtful, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, Ann was a special woman with a heart of pure gold. She taught by example the value of charity, gratitude, hard work and faith. Ann was a generous, compassionate woman and she will be greatly missed by all her friends, family and close and trusted friend Allen Tobler.
