Angela « Angie » MacKeigan (Currie )
It is with great sadness that the family of Angela “Angie” Lynn (Currie) MacKeigan, 52, of Lunenburg and formerly of Glace Bay, announces her passing on Saturday, June 09, 2018 at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Effie (Kennedy) Currie.
Angie began her working life with Woolco in Sydney River and then went on to a career with Walmart for over 20 years, managing stores in Summerside, Digby, Bridgewater and most recently, Bedford.
She is survived by sisters, Lorna Little, Lower Sackville; Carole Farquhar, Saint John, Dolores VanDoninck, Glace Bay; Gwen O’Leary, Glen Haven; and nieces and nephews, Valerie, Kiersten, Cherise, Kyle and Garret.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg where a gathering will be held celebrating Angie’s life on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Glace Bay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to South Shore Palliative Care.
