Andy Vince
Passed away peacefully on November 9, 2018 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband, high school sweetheart and best friend of Carolyn (nee Lacchia) for 51 years. Reunited with infant son Scott (1968). Loving father of Laura DiBiase (Marco), Lana Vince (Dale), Steven Vince (Nancy). Proud grandpa of Rebecca (Guilian), Daniella, Geena, Jesse, Chase, Desmond, Gavin, and Rory. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Andy Vince and in laws Aldo and Elsie Lacchia. Missed by his sister Barbara Van Wingerden and husband John. Brother in law of Pat and Terry Hebert. A proud KCI graduate. Andy retired 20 years ago after teaching with the WEDSB for 32 years. He enjoyed being a basketball referee for 35 years, watching his Red Wings especially #9, golfing on a summer day and walking on the beach in Aruba. He is now singing DooWop songs with his friends Rick Carpenter and Pat Ryall. More than anything, he loved backyard pool parties and surrounding himself with his family. A special thanks to our good friends and family for driving us to appointments, bringing food, phone calls, cards, and email. You know who you are and we are most grateful. We would also like to thank Dr. Bilibajkich and Jackie, Dr. Ghafoor and his staff, Stephanie Duval, the nurses from St. Elizabeth; Karen and Lisa. In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Elizabeth Health Care or Family Respite Services would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place.
