M. André Joseph Alphonse Lafontaine, est décédé le 9th décembre à l’âge de 68 ans à la maison. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Juliette, ainsi que ses enfants; Dany Lafontaine (Tammy) de Longlac, Nathalie Lachance (Alan) de Calgary , Ricky Lafontaine (Lucy) de Longlac, Chris Krienke (Lynn) de Thunder Bay et Nona Krienke (Kelly) de Buffalo. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses frères et soeurs; Renald Lafontaine (Estelle) de Timmins, Huguette Imbeault de Kapuskasing, Denis Dorval de Opasatika, Lucie Isabelle (Louis) de Opasatika and Gaby Duhaime de Kapuskasing.
André laisse aussi ses sept petits-enfants ; Kayla Simon (Bob) de Thunder Bay, Stéphane Lachance (Quinton) de Calgary, Bradley Lafontaine (Alexandria) de Sudbury, Kelsy Lafontaine (Louka) de Hearst, Matty Lafontaine (Neveah) de Longlac, Julia Lafontaine de Longlac, Mia Lafontaine de Longlace et trois arrière-petits-enfants; Kaden Hernandez de Thunder Bay, Mckinley Simon de Thunder Bay et Avery Simon de Thunder Bay. Prédécédée par; Clermont Lafontaine (père), Emilienne Lafontaine (mère) et Luc Lafontaine (frère).
André étais un homme qui avais toujours un sourire. Il adorait passé ses journées à pratiquer la chasse puis aussi la pêche avec ses amies et sa famille. André apportait toujours avec lui la fête et il a toujours admiré la musique.
La famille recevra les condoléances à l’église St-Jean-Baptiste à Longlac, le vendredi 14 décembre de 12h00-13h00. The family announces with sorrow his death peacefully in his home on the 9th of December at the age of 68 years. Beloved wife of Juliette and dearest father of Dany Lafontaine (Tammy) of Longlac, Nathalie Lachance (Alan) of Calgary , Ricky Lafontaine (Lucy) of Longlac, Chris Krienke (Lynn) of Thunder Bay and Nona Krienke (Kelly) of Buffalo. He is survived by Renald Lafontaine (Estelle) of Timmins, Hugette Imbeault of Kapuskasing, Denis Dorval of Opasatika, Lucie Isabelle (Louis) of Opasatika and Gaby Duhaime of Kapuskasing.
André will sadly be missed by his seven grandchildren ; Kayla Simon (Bob) of Thunder Bay, Stéphane Lachance (Quinton) of Calgary, Bradley Lafontaine (Alexandria) of Sudbury, Kelsy Lafontaine (Louka) of Hearst, Matty Lafontaine (Neveah) of Longlac, Julia Lafontaine of Longlac, Mia Lafontaine of Longlac and three great grandchildren; Kaden Hernandez of Thunder Bay, Mckinley Simon and Avery Simon of Thunder Bay. Pre-deceased by: Clermont Lafontaine (father), Emilienne Lafontaine (mother) and Luc Lafontaine (brother).
André was a great man that always had a big smile on his face and always welcomed people with open arms. He spent his days fishing and hunting with his friends and family. He always made it a good time with his love for music.
Friends will be received at St. John Baptist R.C. Church in Longlac on Friday, December 14th from 12pm-1pm. The funeral ceremony will be held at St. John Baptist R.C. Church on Friday, December 14th at 1pm with Father Hugo Tremblay officiating. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
