Alvin Carlyle Lamb
Al passed away peacefully the morning of November 23, 2018, at the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital, at the age of 80. Al retired in 1994 after 34 fulfilling years at the Bank of Canada. He enjoyed his many years of retirement, travelling the world with his wife Eva and creating many happy memories with his family. His faith and commitment to the Lord was a constant in life and a great source of peace in his final days. He is survived by his beloved wife Eva, three loving children: Doug (Janet), Janet (Garry) and Rod (Beth-Anne) and many adoring grandchildren: Warren, Jessica, Dana, Kyle, Andrew, Eric, Zoe and more recently Abby, Luke and Lauren. Al showed us how to live with humility, compassion and integrity and we will greatly miss his love, wisdom and guidance. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday Nov 28, at Kelly Funeral Home, 2313 Carling Avenue. A funeral service will be held on Nov 29 at 11 am, at St Stephen’s Anglican Church, 930 Watson Street, Ottawa. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St Stephen’s Anglican Church (Ststephensottawa.org) or a charity of your choice.
