JANISSE, Alice Marie (nee Robillard)
It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful death of our precious mother, Alice Marie Janisse (nee Robillard) in her home, at Seasons, Lakeshore, on June 28, 2018. Predeceased by her beloved husband, the love of her life, André Cyril (1976) and her parents, Maxime and Léa (St.Pierre) Robillard. Loving mother of Pauline Bornais (late Paul, 2013), Albert and Stephanie (Kobal) and Maurice and Patricia (Donnelly). Dear Mim to Jeannine and Allan, Renée and Jason, Robert and Alison, Jacqueline and Sven, Daniel and Emily, Philippe and Sarah, Richard and Mandy, Annette and Mark, Monique and Kevin, Anne-Marie and Jeremy, André and Leeanna, and Louise and Sébastien. Precious Grandmim of 22 great grandchildren. Dear sister to Eva Comartin, Jeannette Masse, and Lucy Dimenna and the late Rita Gouin, Denis Robillard, Roland Robillard, and Paul Robillard. Dear sister in law to Bernadette Robillard. Alice worked side by side with her husband on the family farm and was the mail courier for Canada Post in St. Joachim and Ruscom with her husband for over 35 years. She was acknowledged by the Township of Rochester in 1989 as an honoured guest as a Citizen of the Year for all her years of very dedicated and faithful service to the Township. Alice was a member of the Catholic Women’s League, Visitation Parish, and a member of the Femmes de la Fédération Canadienne Française-St. Joachim. Alice was a faith-filled woman, a great cook and baker, enjoyed making ceramics, and playing euchre and pepper, and an avid fan of the Detriot Tigers and the Habs. Her pride and joy was her family and many friends. Visitation will take place at the Visitation Parish Church, 5407 Comber Sideroad, Comber Ontario on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 2:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm with CWL prayers at 3:00 p.m. and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Alice’s 98th birthday, Tuesday, July 3, from 10:00 until funeral mass at 11:00. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, as your expression of sympathy, donations to the Visitation Parish Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
