ALICE DANISH
(nee KRAWCHUK)
Peacefully, our Mother passed on Friday, May 25, 2018 surrounded by her family at the age of 87 years. She was born and raised in Brokenhead, MB and moved to Winnipeg in her late teens. She married the love of her life George, at the age of 19 and celebrated 50 years of marriage before Dad passed in 2000.
Alice was a devoted wife and mother to her five children. Her legacy lives on through her children Diane Bell (Don), Valerie (Jan Mrazek), Graham (Beth), Shelley (Tom Benias), and Terri Randall (Allan). Her unconditional love, support and wisdom will remain with us forever. She is also survived by her five grandsons, one granddaughter, and seven great grandchildren. Mom enjoyed spending time with her one surviving sister, Jean Girouard. Besides Dad, Mom will join her grandson Eric and four other siblings.
Mom had many interests, but she was particularly fond of playing card games and listening to Ukrainian music. She was an avid bowler and loved attending exercise classes. She also had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed activities like riding a quad or taking a hot air balloon ride.
A private service was held on Thursday, May 31, 2018.
