Obituary of Alfredo Caira
It is with profound sadness but with grateful hearts for a life well lived, that the
family of Alfredo Caira, age 88, announce his passing on November 3, 2018 at the
Douglas Memorial Hospital. Beloved partner of Lesley, loving father of Lino
(Darlene) and Alba Farkas (Joe), grandfather to Catrina, Illa, Sabrina (Matt),
Vanessa, Cristopher and great grandfather to Leah and Marcus. He is predeceased
by his wife Elia, son Ivo and seven siblings. Alfred was cherished by the children
of Lesley, her grandchildren and great grandchild. He loved all his godchildren,
nephews and nieces. Alfred enjoyed life playing cards, the odd trip with Lino to
the family and casino in Windsor, and weekly chats with those in Italy. The family
would like to thank Dr. Scher for his constant care and support and the nurses who
cared for him at the end. Alfred was very fond of all the nurses at the Renal Clinic
as well as his visiting nurses.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL,
179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. At his request, cremation has taken place,
and there will be no visitation or funeral.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the
Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Port Colborne Special Olympics.
