Alfrèda Maillet
1932-2018
Alfrèda Maillet, 86, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away
peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the UHC Dr Georges L Dumont,
Moncton on Wednesday May 30, 2018. She was married to the late
Georges Maillet (2017). Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, she was the
daughter of the late Alfred and the late Juliette (Melanson) Roy.
Alfrèda was a cook at the Mont-Carmel School in
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent for numerous years.
She will be sadly missed by her six children;
Marie-Thérèse Hébert (Jean-Guy), Pierrette Nowlan
(Raymond), Lucie Maillet (Adrien Babineau), all of
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent,Denise Shean (Todd) of Edmonton, AB, Maurice
(Maria) and André (Linda) all of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, her nine
grandchildren; Jacques, Denis, Pierre, Marie-Josée, Mireille,
Justin, Martin, Patrick and Daniel as well as six great grandchildren.
Alfreda also leaves to mourn two sisters; Lorraine Vachon of Nashua,
N-H, Claudette Michaud (Jacques) of Dieppe, three brothers; Ulysse
(Gilberte) of Quebec, Paul, Valmond (Bernice), all of
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one son Gérard at birth and one sister,
Thérèse.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel Roman
Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent on Thursday May 31,
2018 from 7 to 9 and on Friday June 1, from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45
pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent
Church on Friday June 1, 2018 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish
cemetery.
In Alfrèda’s memory, donations may be made to the
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Knights of Columbus Scholarships Bursary or to
the parish fund.
