Morrison – 81, Bible
Hill, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Colchester
East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in St. Peter’s, he was
a son of the late Herbert and Marion (Wooley) Morrison.
Alfred and his late wife, Freda, enjoyed traveling, camping
at Sunset Watch Campground in Brule Point and golfing. He was a
franchisee for Petro Canada and operated service stations at the
airport and Stewiacke. He also worked as General Manager for Marlen
Detroit Diesel and as manager for Irving Midland (NB) and several
other trucking companies.
Alfred is survived by his children, Shannon Morrison, Truro;
Shawn (Cheryl) Morrison, Truro Heights; Nicole Morrison, Truro;
grandchildren, Jeff Fleck (Vicki Morris), Carla Fleck (Tyler Ash),
Kyle Morrison; great granddaughter, Jessica Fleck; siblings, Alice
Morrison, Wasaga Beach, Ontario; Heather Katsiroumpas, Deanna Fisher,
Truro; Herb (Helen) Morrison, Ludlow, Washington; Kaye Morrison, Scott
Morrison, Calgary, Alberta; several nieces and nephews. Along with his
parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Freda Eileen (MacKay)
Morrison; brother, Nicholas Wayne Morrison.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Alfred’s
family will receive friends from 2-3:30 p.m., Friday, January 26,
2018. Interment will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018, at
Crossroads Cemetery, 110 Salmon River Road, Valley. If so desired,
donations in Alfred’s memory to Breast Cancer Research
