Obituary for Alex Deans
Peacefully, with his son by his side at Fiddick’s Nursing Home on Saturday, November 3, 2018, Alexander Douglas Deans of Petrolia, formerly of Inwood, passed away in his 88th year. Beloved husband to the late Doris Deans (nee Proud) (2008). Loving father to Graham Deans and Jennifer (Norm Fox) Santana-Fox (the late Francisco Santana, 2005). Proud grandpa to Steven Santana and Emiley (Mark) Vincelli. Predeceased by his parents, Neil and Alice Deans and his infant twin brothers. Alex will also be missed by his extended family. Alex spend a lifetime farming on Oil Springs Line and was a recognized field salesman for Dekalb Seed for many years and in his later years enjoyed daily visits to the Chuck Wagon Restaurant in Inwood. The family would like to thank Dr. Butler and the staff at Fiddick’s Nursing Home for their excellent care. Visitors will be received by the family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia, where a funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Alvinston Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (www.ceehf.ca) or the Diabetes Canada (www.diabetes.ca).
