In Loving memory of Albert “Bert” Russell Jackson
June 22, 1940- February 4, 2018
Bert was happily married to Margaret Buch for 51 years. They have three daughters; Elizabeth Berry (Stephen), Valerie Jackson (Ashraf) and Adrienne Barrett (Marc) who always wished to find husbands just like he had been to their Mom. He had 8 grandchildren, Aisha, Ibrahim, Evan, Ahmed, Hailey, Austin, Adam and Spencer. He also has an older brother Ward Jackson, Halifax N. S. Bert’s parents were Russell and Grace Jackson. Bert was a sweet and generous man. It was hard to find someone who didn’t like him. If you ever needed anything, he would give you the last dollar out of his wallet. He was a kind husband, loving dad and faithful friend. He was an endlessly patient grandfather who would take the kids places or just sit and play with them.
He worked for 31 years as a Senior Civil Technologist in Sudbury, ON. When he and Margaret retired they returned to their place of upbringing, the Ottawa Valley and resided in Eganville. Bert died on Sunday, February 4, 2018 and will truly be missed, but so many of the memories of him will bring smiles to those who loved him. Bert will be remembered for his unconditional love.
Visitation will be held at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 9-10:30am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11am at St. James the Less Catholic Church, Eganville.
