A Life Well Lived
Albert (Al) Wells, lovingly remembered by his wife Agnes Wells, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the age of 92 years.
Al spent his career as a steamfitter, plumber and was an instructor in the Pipe Trades at SAIT for 19 years. He attended Purdue University, taking courses to become an instructor. Al was also a member and a teacher of 496 Pipe Trades Union, in Calgary. While living on an acreage for 40 years in Millarville, AB, they raised sheep as a hobby, was President of Square Butte Hall, and President of the Millarville Horticultural Club. He was also a Volunteer Fireman for the Priddis Fire Department.
Al is survived by his family, Beverley, Peter, Jean, Marian. Also survived by his grandchildren Robbie, Steven, Johnny, Jamie, Jody, John (JP), Trevor, Carolyn and Aileen; great-grandchildren Cody, Shauna, Nathan, Aiden, Kaleb, Katie, Anna, Brooke, Jacob, Bradon, Reece, Cole, and Theo. Al was predeceased by sons Ken and Cameron, and grand-daughter Lindsay.
A Memorial Service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, Prairie View Chapel (1605 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. (Telephone 403-272-5555).
