Agnes Wiebe, age 67, of Steinbach, MB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, with her family by her side.
Agnes was predeceased by: her parents Henry and Justina Wiebe; brothers: Henry, Peter, and Neil; sisters: Justina and Helen; and one sister-in-law Lavera.
She is survived by two daughters: Theresa Parent and Jennifer (Johnny) Gerbrandt; six grandchildren: Danielle, Jorden, Brandi, Troy, Rachelle and Hope; four great-grandchildren: Hunter, Caleb, Antonio and Ethan. Also left to cherish her memory are two siblings: Abe (Alvina) Wiebe, Margaret (Peter) Wiebe and one sister-in-law Elizabeth and their families.
Agnes was a born talker. She loved to talk to anyone and everyone who had an ear and was willing to listen. She was blessed with the gift of the gab.
She enjoyed fishing with her daughters. She enjoyed family functions where she could watch the children play and bribe with candy. She liked to play games with her friends and enjoyed a close relationship with her sister Margaret.
Agnes held various jobs over the years. They ranged from working at the highways department to school bus driver, to long distance truck driver. The last few years she loved volunteering at MCC.
As a family we are thankful to Bethesda Hospital and Niverville Heritage Centre, for taking care of Mom and trying to make her life a little easier the last two years.
At her request cremation has taken place. A memorial to celebrate her life will take place at a later date.
