In Loving Memory
Adam Williamson Chalmers passed away peacefully at Douglas Memorial Hospital on July 2nd, 2018 in Fort Erie, Ontario at the age of 80 after a challenging illness. The family greatly appreciates the care provided by the hospital staff and Dr. Kim Scher. Adam is survived by loving wife Sandra Chalmers (nee: Carson), son Adam (Christie) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, daughter Laura Bales (Mark) of Brampton, Ontario and his four grandchildren: Adam, Cynthia, McKina and Spencer. Adam is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim. He will also be deeply missed by his many family members and friends. Adam was born on October 27th, 1937 in Willowdale, Ontario, grew up in Keswick, Ontario along the shores of Lake Simcoe and moved to Toronto, Ontario where he worked for the Toronto Metropolitan Police Force for 38 years. Adam met Sandra while they both worked at Toronto Metropolitan Police Force and they married on May 21st, 1960. Visitation will be held at Scott Funeral Home at 289 Main Street North in Brampton, Ontario on Sunday, July 8th, 2018 between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The funeral will be held at Scott Funeral Home on Monday, July 9th, 2018 at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 609, 1133 Queen Street East in Brampton, Ontario commencing at 2:30 pm. Reverend Cathie Ellarby will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Adam’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Adam’s memory to Sick Kids Hospital, Toronto.
