It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Abram Konrad with his family at his bedside on November 7, 2018.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 57 years, Lydia, and by his children, Heather (Dean), Rosanne, and Jonathan (Lynda), and eight grandchildren.
Abe will be remembered for his strong leadership in education, particularly as a professor and department chair at the University of Alberta. He also found joy in serving the Mennonite Brethren Church in many roles including Canadian Conference moderator. We cherish his memory as a man of faith, family and service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at St. Josephs Auxiliary Hospital who cared so much for Abe during his time there.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 12, 2018, at 1:30 pm at Lendrum Mennonite Church, 11210 59 Ave, Edmonton.
