Maxine Munch
Munch, A. Maxine (nee Fields) died peacefully at the age of 88 on Friday, December 29, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd (Tony) Munch. Loving Mother to Bonnie (Bill Ray) Munch, Susan Van Sickle, and Brenda (Ken) Elligson. Devoted Grandmother to Sarah Sorensen Halfman, Benjamin (Shanny) Sorensen, Trevor (Shea) and Tim Van Sickle, Christine (Karl) Heinisch, Mandy (Shawn) Paulitzki, Kevin (Mandy) Elligson, David Jr., and Michael (Jackie) Munch. Mom enjoyed and loved her 16 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Ernie Fields, Gail (Ken) Herriot, Don (June) Fields, and sister-in-law of Don Paddock. Maxine was predeceased by her son David (10/2017); granddaughters Katie and Melissa Sorensen and great-grandson Benjamin Munch; sister Dorothy Paddock, and brothers Bob, Jim and Glen Fields. Maxine is also survived by her second husband Ted Prince. Her legacy is one of deep and abiding love and faith in Jesus Christ along with her service and kindness to all. There will be no visitation. A private burial will take place. Memorial service to be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria St. N. Breslau. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or Heart and Stroke would be appreciated by the family. We are grateful to the staff at Fairview Mennonite Home and in particular to those who provided love and care on the Blair Unit.
