Obituary for
Penny Ann Freeman
Passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2018 at the age of 50. She is survived by her children Erica and Michael Freeman. Penny was a kind and generous soul who often gave what she had to help those who had less. Her free spirit and spontaneous laughter will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Penny’s mom (Gail Randall) will greet her in heaven when she arrives. Penny is also survived by her father, Dave (Nip) Randall and sister, Wendy (Gino) Palermo, nieces Emily and Olivia Palermo, Catie Corkal, and Nephew Kyler Campeau. Penny had a large network of friends, neighbours and acquaintances that will always remember her smile.
Penny enjoyed getting out in her canoe and fishing down at the canal during a beautiful summer day. Penny also enjoyed baking and had her own baking business for over 20 years. She is a self-taught baker who used her expertise to bake cinnamon buns, assorted goodies as well as many birthday and wedding cakes. In addition, she made cookies for Canadian Tire Acceptance, and the Canada Day Cakes for the City of Welland for many years. Penny volunteered her time at the Hope Center and used her baking skills to cook up healthy food for those in need.
Please join us to reminisce, grieve and support each other on Friday December 28th at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Celebration of life service will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Saturday December 29th at 11 am. Cremation has taken place and a private ceremony for burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers we believe that Penny would want us to pay it forward by giving to others, so we ask that you donate your money, your time or your smile to someone who needs it-anyone.
