Lynn Wedow, of RR#3 Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Hanover and District Hospital. She was 66.
Born in Palmerston on October 13, 1952 to the late Nelson and Mary (nee Lennox) Gadke. Lynn enjoyed working as a Civil Servant at the Walkerton Post Office and always enjoyed customers when they came in. She had a warm smile about her and loved to listen. Her passion was her family and her heart expanded even more once her grandchildren came into their lives. Not one to complain, Lynn always put on a brave face during her health problems, but finally her body could take no more.
Survived by best friend and husband Ron Wedow of RR#3 Hanover. Loved mother of Tanya (Steve) Croke of Milton and Shawn (Susie) Wedow of Mitchell. Special grandmother of Avery, Ainsleigh, Ashtyn, Keaghan and Madalyn. Fondly remembered by her brothers Dr. Wayne Gadke of Australia, David (Marg) Gadke of Toronto and sister Gail Murray (Peter Koebel) of Hanover. Lynn will be missed by her nieces, nephews, their families and by Beth Gadke of Hanover. Predeceased by her parents and sister in law Jean Gadke.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5-9pm. A Memorial Celebration Service to honour Lynn will be held at Mighton Funeral Home on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 am. Pastor Lyndsay McGregor officiating. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in Hanover Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
