Shirley Caron
1925-2018
Shirley Caron (Hicks), 93, of The K.E.
Spencer Memorial Home, passed away peacefully at her residence on
Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Born in Boston, Mass, USA. She was the
daughter of the late Roy and Edna (Fawcett) Hicks.
Shirley was a former Secretary at The
Moncton Hospital as well as Moncton City Hall, she was also the
retired owner/operator of Wheaton’s Grocery Store on
Salisbury Road. She was a member of West Lane Baptist Church for many
years, and a former member of the Wheaton Settlement Baptist Church.
Shirley was past matron of the Frank H. Tingley No. 5 Order of the
Eastern Star and past president of the Peoples Park Tower Seniors
Club.
Shirley will be sadly missed by her
daughter, Linda Innes (Paul) of Hantsport, NS; grandchildren, Kerri
and Michael Innes; great grandchildren, Rory Dutton, Taytum Innes and
Ryah Innes; sister, Pauline Pollock; as well as several nieces,
nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Shirley
was predeceased by her first husband, Lester Wheaton; and her second
husband, J.P. Caron.
In keeping with Shirley’s
wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service.
Interment will be held at a later date in Wheaton Settlement
Cemetery.
